Jevon Thomas Taking It Slowly

According to a report in the New York Post, Dayton commit Jevon Thomas will be holding off heading to the Flyers for a year as he will continue at Quality Education first.

Former St. John's commit Jevon Thomas won't be joining the 2012 class at the University of Dayton, according to a report by the New York Post.

Thomas will instead be doing another year at Quality Education, the Post reported.

The Flyers really could've used a point guard in the 2012 class to spell Kevin Dillard, but now they'll be forced to wait another year.

"Archie was a point guard and people tell me he was a great shooter," he told's Brian Snow at the time of his commitment in September 2011. "He gives me point of views on my jump shot and helps me with my confidence. Allen [Griffin] played at Syracuse and I've just taken points from both of them."

Thomas remains committed to Dayton and will be in a Flyers uniform in 2013. Recommended Stories
